A Taste of Greece

Here’s just a sampling of the delicacies you’ll find at our festival!

Savory

Souvlaki – pork or chicken kebabs.
Lamb on the spit roasting over an open flame.
Gyro – slices of grilled seasoned beef, served on warm pita bread with Greek sauce, onions, and tomatoes.
Greek Fries – Potatoes lightly fried with a special blend of seasonings and lemon.
Saganaki – flaming Kasseri cheese. OPA!
Spanakopita – spinach and feta cheese stuffed inside a filo triangle.
Calamari – Tender fried squid garnished with feta and oregano with a wedge of lemon.
Dolmades – Grape leaves stuffed with seasoned ground beef and rice.
Meze – tiropita, hummus, Greek meatballs, olives, and more.
Greek Salad – lettuce, tomatoes, onions, feta, Calamata olives, oregano, red wine vinegar, and olive oil.

Sweet
Loukoumades – “honey puffs,” deep-fried pastries dipped in honey.
Baklava – the traditional Greek pastry
Diples – delicately rolled pastry, lightly fried and topped with honey and cinnamon.
Koulourakia – butter cookies sprinkled with sesame seed.
Melomakarana – tasty, nut-filled dough dipped in syrup.
Kataifi – shredded filo pastry filled with walnuts and honey syrup.
Galaktoboureko – filo dough filled with custard and topped with syrup.
